We are currently looking for a loading attendant. If you fit the bill, you'll have the opportunity to be part of a skilled team truly dedicated to the success of our clients' projects.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for receiving and shipping structural steel (90% of loading is done indoors in our factory) and other materials.
- Operate overhead cranes and telescopic forklifts
- Loading structural steel
- Place parts on trailers to maximize their utilization and ensure load stability throughout the journey.
- Scan the loads to ensure they are all on the load
- Attach the trailer according to safety regulations
- Comply with health and safety regulations.
- In-house training available.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
- Ability to operate an overhead crane and a telescopic forklift
- Hardworking and responsible
- Versatile, organized, and resourceful
- Strong teamwork and willingness to help others
- A permanent Canadian citizen
- Previous experience working for a steel manufacturer (an asset)
